• Small groups will be going through transitions due to the changes in September re the worship. Any newcomers who are interested in joining small groups, please contact pastor Gladys.
• Church prayer meetings are held every Sunday at 10:30am in Room G. All are encouraged and welcome to attend.
• Since there are no children from EM attending citrus right now, Citrus ministry during the English worship time will be put on hold until further notice.
• Anyone who has been baptized and wants to grow further in their Christian walk with the Lord, please join us at English 201 which will be starting soon. For further details please contact Pastor Gladys.
• The monthly bulletin and financial report have been posted on the bulletin board in the church foyer. Please check for important church updates.
• Lego Party will be held on October 3 between 7:30pm – 10:00pm. Join us and build Lego together. Know some new friends and have fun. This is an event for Adult only. No young children allowed.

• Godfrey Leung (2nd term) deaconship will be ended on December 31, 2013. Therefore, a new deacon will be elected to replace this vacant in 2014.

• CitRUs for our children’s ministry has been launched! Preschoolers who have reached 3 years old are welcome to join the class at Room C during worship services.
• AWANA Matching Program needs your support! Every month at AWANA Store, we encourage the clubbers to donate the AWANA Shares they were awarded to a designated charity, in order to nurture in them a caring heart for the world and the people around us. For every Share they donate, we would like to invite donors to match with a $10 donation. Last year, through this program the clubbers at AWANA have raised a total of $1,260 towards charities like Operation Christmas Child, Food Back, and International China Concern etc. We need your continual support this year! If you would like to be a matching donor, please contact Pastor Alan.

Summary of September Deacon Board Meeting

• Effective this month, Homework Fellowship will be discontinued.
• The church will donate the remaining bus tickets (approx. $80) from the Children Summer Program to Union Gospel Mission.
• No parking in the back lane at all times as fire truck will need to pass through when there is a fire.
• Wendy Wong and Helen Yung have become inactive members.
• Pastors Alan will take his annual leave from October 10 -18.
• Christmas dinner will be held on December 15 and the coordinators are Deacons Dick Chan, Peter Cheung and Godfrey Leung.
• Clothing drive will be held at the beginning of December and the coordinator is Maggie Leung.

• The Youth Gospel Camp will be held on August 30 - September 2 at Alexandra Neighbourhood House. Those aged 16 to 25 are welcome to join.
• Registration is now open for AWANA in September 2013 - June 2014. The registration fee for the whole season is $35 (not including handbook and uniform). For registration and details, please contact Pastor Alan Yu.
• The church plans to employ a completely new strategy - CitRUs for our children’s ministry in September - and we are excited to share it with you! Come and join a parent information session on Sunday, August 18 from 2pm – 4pm. All parents and grandparents are welcome! Child-sitting will be provided.
• Due to the fact that the majority of the English congregation is away for the youth gospel camp, there will not be a Saturday English worship on Aug. 31. There will be a combined worship with baptism held on Sept 1 at 11:00am.
• New worship times will take effect starting September 8. Chinese worship services will commence at 10 am on Sundays, and English worship services at 11:30 am on Sundays. For more details, please feel free to pick a pamphlet about the changes in September in the back of the worship hall.

• In remembrance of our Lord Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins, Holy Communion is held on the first Saturday of each month. If you have openly declared your faith and commitment to Jesus Christ through baptism, you are invited to prepare your heart and partake in the Holy Communion with us.
