Summary of June Deacon Board Meeting

• The church has received a 14-weeks government funding and has therefore hired Clemmie Cheung as the coordinator of 2015 Children Summer Program.
• The church has rented out 10 parking stalls to Ledcor Construction Limited during weekdays from May to October. 
• The new sound system was installed for a total of $5,858. 
• “50 Days of Transformation” will be launched on July 12, 2015. Workshops and joint small groups will be from July 17 to September 4 Fridays at 7:30pm. 
• Congregational meeting for the semi-annual financial report will be held on July 26 at 1:00pm. 
• AWANA will form a new club for ages 2-3 children in September this year.

• The monthly bulletin has been posted on the bulletin board in the church foyer. Please check for important church updates. 
• A BBQ dinner will be held on June 28 4pm at Garry Point Park in Steveston. Ticket is $10 each. Please register with small group’s leader. 
• Children Summer Camp will be held from July 6 – August 28 Monday to Friday 9:30am to 3:30pm. Registration has begun. Please contact Clemmie Cheung for more details.

• Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) encourages donation in the relief of the Nepal earthquake. Special offerings will be collected today and will be the last day. Donations will be sent to CBM for distribution to Nepal. Please make cheques payable to “Westside Baptist Church” and mark “Nepal Earthquake” on the offering envelope. Donation receipts will be issued for an amount of $20 or more. These funds will be matched by the Canadian government.
