Announcements - August 18, 2019

• Church prayer meetings are held every Sunday at 10:30am at the office. All are encouraged and welcome to attend. 
• We would like to extend our warm welcome to today’s guest speaker, Rev Herbert Lee, he was here before when we had Saturday service. Rev. Lee was a church planter and pastor. Now he is a coach with RightFit coaching and leadership development. 
• Monthly bulletin has been posted on the bulletin board. Please check out for important announcements. 
• Pastor Gladys will be on vacation between August 14-29. During those times, please contact Pastor Alan or deacons if there are urgent matters. 
• A block party will be hosted by CM on August 31, 2019 between 11am – 3pm. Brothers and sisters from EM are welcome to participate as well. There will be carnival games, food stalls, charity thrift store, praise dance, gifts and more. 
• The Charity thrift store is now collecting new and gently-used, resaleable items today and on Aug 25. It includes: Clothing in new or like-new condition (washed & non-stained) Household items, Toys and collectibles, Small kitchen appliances & electronics (operable), Kids items and books. Please contact Alexandra Wai for more details. 
• An outreach event will be held on Sept 7 BBQ at Garry Point park from 11:00 am-3:00pm and the Tacos luncheon on September 8. Please register with your SG leaders. 
• Please continue to pray for the campaign ‘Invite Your One’. Pray for your contact list and the outreach events in September and the possibility of starting Alpha. 
• A workshop on Praying more Deeply will be held on Aug 25 at room G between 2:00pm - 4:00pm. The material written will be in English. But the verbal instruction will be in Cantonese. The topic is – 4) Meditating Sin”. The details and sign-up sheet have been posted on the bulletin board. 
• Praise God. The building permit of downstairs redevelopment project has been issued and the renovation has started and everything went smoothly. Please continue to pray for the process of the renovation and the completion date to be on September 1, 2019. 
• Brothers and sisters who have made a pledge for the Building Redevelopment fund, please specify on the offering envelope “BR Fund” when making a donation. For those who would like to support by Congregational Loan (No/Low interest), please contact the treasurer, Cannis Wan. 
•  “Invite Your One” summer campaign will be held on Fridays between July 5 – August 23. 
• Please beware of sharp objects left on the ground when parking downstairs since it is a construction site. 
• Building Redevelopment (furniture/equipment) pledge cards are available at the back of the hall. Please return the completed pledge card and the donation before August 25. Please specify on the offering envelope “BR Furniture”.
