Announcements - January 25, 2015


  • Church prayer meetings are held every Sunday at 10:30am at the office. All are encouraged and welcome to attend. 
  • Worship duties list is posted on the church website. Please contact Deacon Peter, Deacon Justin or the church secretary if you are not available for the duties. 
  • WBC101 will be held at 3pm in room E. 
  • The visitation team will celebrate the Chinese New Year with the residents of the Beulah Gardens Seniors homes on February 28 at 6:00pm. For those who would like to join the visitation, please contact Felix Loo. 
  • The annual general meeting will be held today at 1pm in the main hall. Members are encouraged to attend. The agenda of the meeting has already posted on the bulletin board. 
  • Christmas decorations will be taken down right after the annual general meeting. For those who can stay, please help out and contact Deacon Keddy Au Yeung. 
  • Prayer meeting for GZone coaches and small groups’ leaders will be held right after the annual general meeting today at room E. 
  • WBC201 is a spiritual maturity course for those who have been baptized and transferred to Westside which will be held in February 2015. Please contact Pastor Gladys if you would like to attend. 
  • Please send your new contact info to the church if it has been updated within the past two years. 
  • In 2015, the church will participate in the City’s Green Bin program for the collection of food scraps. As such, brothers and sisters are encouraged to bring home their own food scraps for disposal since the size of the green bin is limited.

  • WBC101 will start today at 3pm in room D. Please pick up the sermon theme binder cover for 2015 from the bulletin board if you have already signed up for one. Otherwise, please sign up for one at the bulletin board. 
  • WBC201 is a spiritual maturity course for those who have been baptized and transferred to Westside which will be held in January 2015. Please contact Pastor Gladys if you would like to attend. 
  • For those who would like to have a hard copy of the 2014 annual report, please sign up at the bulletin board. The report has already uploaded onto the church website at www.westsidebaptist.ca.

Summary of January Deacon Board Meeting


  • The church will launch a Campaign called “50 Days of Transformation” in July this year. 
  • Deacon Keddy Au Yeung and Deacon Godfrey Leung will be the coordinators of the facility maintenance committee. 
  • Deacon Samson Chan will be the coordinator of hospitality team and the deacon rep of finance committee. 
  • Deacon Tsz-Lam Mak will be the coordinator of visitation team. 
  • The deacon board recommended the following as 2015 nomination committee members: Deacon Rep.: Samson Chan, Justin Chen and Godfrey Leung; Congregation Rep.: Kelly Lo, Doris Ngan, Cannis Wan 
  • 2015 alarm contacts are 1) Deacon Peter Cheung, 2) Deacon Keddy Au Yeung and 3) Deacon Godfrey Leung. Please contact the person according to the above order should the alarm is triggered. The alarm code will be changed. 
  • The signing officers of 2015 are Deacon Godfrey Leung and Deacon Tsz-Lam Mak. Roger Ma, Daryl Wong and Pauline Wong have become deactivated members.
