Announcements - January 26, 2013

• Bulletins will not be printed for the English worship services, so church volunteers are asked to check their duties online via googledocs. A hard copy of the duty list will also be posted in the foyer. Please contact Deacon Peter Cheung (praise team) about any duty shift changes.
• 2013 altar flower offering sign-up sheet has been posted on the notice board. $22 per Sunday. Please start to make the donation in January 2013 and specify on the offering envelope that the donation is for “flower offering”.
• Come and get connected with one another and learn about small group life. All are welcome. Please contact Pastor Gladys if you are interested in joining a small group.
• Church prayer meetings are held every Saturday at 5:00pm in Room F. All are encouraged and welcome to attend.
• Don’t go home hungry! Join us for the community meal after Saturday evening worship services. Fees are $6 per person. Please contact Joyce or Jackson to pre-order by Thursday each week.
• Photos are now taken for posting on the digital frame.  Please contact Daniel Ng if you would like to have your picutre taken.
• There will be a special workshop on Feb 16 at 8:00pm. The topic is Christian dating and courtship by Mr. Ignatius Ng.  
• Annual General Meeting will be held on January 27, 2013 around 12:30pm after the Chinese Worship Service. Members please make time to attend. Each family can pick up an annual report after worship service today. Agenda as follow:

Lego Party

This is a play time for ADULTS. Again: for adults only. No children allowed.

Join us and build some LEGO sets together. Know some new friends. Have fun.

If we like it, we can do it regularly.

The theme this time will be Star Wars. I'll have some sets available for building together. You can also bring in your sets to share. Or if you like stretching your creativity, bring in some loose bricks and build together!

Summary of January 2013 Deacon Board Meeting

• The church will apply funding from the government start a children summer program. This funding will include hiring a youth to run the program. Details to be announced.
• Wendy Wong, our treasurer, will be resigned as of mid-March since she will move back to Hong Kong. Her role will be replaced by Monica Tong in mid-August. The finance committee will help with day to day financial operation of the church between March to July, 2013.
• 2013 signing officers are Deacon Dick Chan and Deacon Tsz-Lam Mak. Monica will replace Wendy as signing officer in March 2013.
• 2013 Finance committee members are Grace Cheng, Thomas Lee, Deacon Felix Loo (Deacon rep), Monica Tong and Lauren Wong. 2013 deacon board chair will be Rev. Dr. Gladys Tsang; church clerk will be Alexandra Wai. The above positions will be reviewed in January 2016.
• Pastor Alan's study leave is from January 7 – 11, annual leave from March 19-27, 2013. The church secretary, Roberta's, annual leave is from February 13 – March 1, 2013.

Announcements - December 22, 2012

• The net proceeds of the charity activities (dinner, auction, photo booth, selling honey and clothing drive) this year is approximately $2,800.  This amount will be evenly donated to Vancouver Food Bank and Union Gospel Mission.  Thank you all for your participation and donations.
• 2013 altar flowers sign up sheet has been posted on the bulletin board.  Each time cost $22.  Donation can be made in January 2013.
• Church office will be closed for the Christmas holidays on December 25 and 26.

• Deacon Felix Loo is appointed the deacon representative of the finance committee in 2013.
