Announcements - November 29, 2020

  • In light of the new restrictions of BC Health and also the recent spikes of COVID cases, we will stop the praise practices and recording for the time being. 
  • In case you have to come into the building for whatever reasons, please pre-book with the church office, observe all COVID protocols and wear masks. 
  • Prayer meeting will be held from Zoom on Sundays at 10:30am. All are welcome to join. Meeting ID: 640 432 540; Password: 010779 It will be the same Meeting ID and password every week. 
  • During this time of COVID-19, offering by cheques and e-transfer are welcome. Cheques can be mailed to the church office. Please call the office to confirm receipt of the cheque as there may be delays in the mail. E-transfer email address is westsidebaptistoffering@gmail.com Cash donations will not be accepted until worship at church resumes. 
  • The 2021-2023 deacon online election has been finished last week. The result will be announced on Dec 6. 
  • Next Sunday is the first Sunday of the month when we usually take the Lord’s supper together. Even though we are apart, we encourage all baptized brothers and sisters to prepare the bread and the cup and take the communion at home by following pastoral guidance. 
  • Christmas celebration includes the following events: 
    • A special online worship service will be held on Dec 24 at 8pm. Details will be announced in later days. 
    • Limited edition Care Package. If you want to help out in preparing or delivering the care packages, please contact the church office. If you want care packages to be delivered to your non Christian relatives and friends during Christmas, please contact your small group leaders and give them the names before Dec 6. The delivery will be between Dec 19 -24. 
    • DONATIONS WANTED! Gifts to be sold at the Christmas Online Charity Auction are now being collected. We are accepting: new items of value; unique and valuable vintage items; and unused and non-expired gift certificates, gift cards, or gift vouchers (e.g. Groupons). Items should be new or in excellent condition. Please contact Pastor Alan by for details before December 13. Please note that the Church reserves the right to refuse any donations, and unsold gifts will be returned to donors. Thank you for your support! 
    • Clothing Drive. The congregation can return the donated clothing to the storage room downstairs at the church from 1-2 pm on December 5 and 12 (Saturdays). Please put clean and re-saleable clothes in 26”x36” garbage plastic bags. When returning to the church, please wear a face mask. 
    • The fund raised from the clothing drive and charity auction will be donated to Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and Union Gospel Mission.
