Announcement - October 21, 2018

  • Church prayer meetings are held every Sunday at 10:30am at the office. All are encouraged and welcome to attend.
  • The monthly bulletin has been posted on the bulletin board. Please check it out for important information.
  • WBC101 will commence soon. For those who would like to be baptised or transfer their membership to Westside, please contact Peter.
  • The church will take on Mr. Robert Gardner as Pastoral Intern for Chinese Ministry, starting in November for 6 months. Robert is currently a student at Regent College in the Master of Divinity program. The purpose for taking on a pastoral intern is to nurture the next generation of leaders for the Church; we will continue our recruitment for a CM Pastor to fill the vacancy since Pastor Anders’ retirement.
  • We are going to powerwash the covered underground parking lot today. Please move your car right after today’s worship service.
  • 2019-2021 Deaconship Election will be held on November 25. The candidates list will be published on November 4. The method of election is to be announced.
  • Parents’ group is going to hold a Charity Swap Meet (Kid’s items only) on November 10 (Saturday) 10am – 1pm. The net proceeds will be donated to Marpole Oakridge Family Place & Crisis Pregnancy Centre. Please come and show your support by purchasing some kids’ items.
  • The church is going to collect gift boxes and donate to Reiderman Residence modular housing before Christmas. Details are to be announced.
  • Christmas Celebration events: Clothing drive (Dec 2 to 9, 2018). Christmas Charity Dinner (coordinators: Deacons Tsz-Lam Mak, Lily Liu and Benjamin Mak) will be on December 16. Dinner tickets are $16 per adult and $8 per child age 4-10. Tickets are available on Nov 18, 25 and Dec 2. Net proceeds from all fundraiser events will be donated to Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and Reiderman Residence modular housing.
  • DONATIONS WANTED! Gifts to be sold at the Christmas Charity Auction are now being collected. We are accepting: new items of value; unique and valuable vintage items; and unused and non-expired gift certificates, gift cards, or gift vouchers (e.g. Groupons). Items should be new or in excellent condition. Please contact Pastor Alan for details before December 11. Please note that the Church reserves the right to refuse any donations, and unsold gifts will be returned to donors. Thank you for your support!
